Profile of China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad
China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (“CCBM”) has, on 1 October 2016, received its company incorporation approval from Companies Commission of Malaysia, being the first subsidiary of China Construction Bank Corporation (“CCBC”) in Malaysia. CCBM is also the 30th tier-1 overseas subsidiary of CCBC.
Malaysia’s Minister of Finance has granted the banking licence to CCBM which takes effect on 1 October 2016, the date CCBM is incorporated. CCBM subsequently obtained approval from Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia) to commence business operations on 27 January 2017.
